Businesses are facing increasing challenges in economically procuring and managing their IT infrastructure to accommodate the diverse needs of multiple business units and to control server sprawl.
EarthLink FlexCloud delivers a robust Cloud computing service that enables a business to create secure IT environments for individual business units and to optimize server utilization across multiple cloud environments. Server sprawl is significantly reduced, while your IT team maintains complete control, with easy to use portals and dashboards.
A FlexCloud Assessment helps businesses calculate the baseline compute capacity required to achieve a cost effective solution, with the ability to burst when additional resources are required. Business units can track their respective computing resources to minimize underutilization, and additional resources are always available on demand.
Create both public and private virtual environments for physical and logical separation with private MPLS or VPN architecture. Create a combination of private and public facing environments with controlled interconnections for isolation of private workloads.
Data Protection provides full weekly backups and daily incremental backups to safeguard your data. A Disaster Recovery option mirrors your data in a second EarthLink data center for rapid recovery of your full environment to provide higher levels of business continuity protection.
Data Center Firewall provides Intrusion Prevention and Intrusion Protection and enables a business to create customized firewall rules for enhanced security. Managed services are available to help offload the routine management and maintenance of the virtual machines.
You can provision and manage the entire cloud environment through myLink FlexCloud Administrator Portal, and each business unit has its own myLink FlexCloud User portal with multiple dashboards to manage their own cloud.
The EarthLink Next Generation Cloud is powered by VMware vSphere 5.1 hypervisor and runs on Cisco UCS server hardware and Cisco gigabit networking equipment all in an N+1 architecture in our SSAE 16 SOC2 certified data centers. The Next Generation Cloud supports a wide range of operating systems including 32-bit and 64-bit Windows and Linux virtual machines that can be hosted simultaneously.
